Webb24 dec. 2024 · It is easy to ship a 65 66 rear end. Pull out axles and remove pumpkin. Put pumpkin in old steel frames or plastic with steel supports milk crate and then in cardboard box: FedEx Rear housing, axles and backing plates fit neatly into a cardboard box, ships FedEx. None of this is oversized or overweight. I ship them about every 2 months. Webb11 mars 2006 · keep the six as a parts donor car (as Matt says many parts are expensive), buy one already converted or V8 original (or search for a V8 Comet/Falcon/Mustang donor car) Plan "B" (B stands for Budget!) build up the six and swap the rear and deeper gears, close to the same results as the conversion, alot less money

Webb7 mars 2003 · You still cant use the I6 box in the V8 due to the shorter shaft.The way it was worded it reads as the input support bearing, where it should be correctly known as needle bearing between input shaft and output shaft assy. Also the taper roller pocket bearing came out prior to ED, it was used in the Sprint and the GT model only.

V8 spindles and front suspension and steering, v8 rear axle and springs, should get the car ready to do the swap, then you need motor and trans obviously, and all the various parts needed to drop those in. Radiator, motor mounts, etc....

The Mustang centerlink is about 2" or so wider than the Falcon, and not just wider in the center, it's also wider between the tie rods and pitman and idler arms.
